Insurance & Billing

At Surgery Center of the Pacific, our patient-centered mindset affects our handling of business matters. Many people feel that health insurance and billing is complex and challenging. Our goal is to simplify this process so that our patients feel confident and empowered instead of confused. We have relationships with numerous area insurance companies, and we are committed to protecting our patients and ensuring that they are treated fairly. We thoroughly explain all financial matters in advance, and we’re available to answer any questions you may have at any stage of the process.

Planning for Your Procedure at Surgery Center of the Pacific

On the day of your surgery, it is important that you bring all applicable insurance cards and documents with you so that we can process your insurance papers for you. Amounts not covered by your insurance, co-insurance, or deductibles will be collected on the day of your surgery.

Please be aware that Surgery Center of the Pacific fees cover the use of the facility only and do not include laboratory, pathology, surgeon, X-ray, or anesthesiologist fees. You will be billed separately for these services.

Our insurance networks include:

What Information Should I Bring?

As a courtesy, our staff will bill your primary and secondary insurance carriers or governmental agency directly. Be sure to bring your most current insurance, Medicare, or public assistance card with you on the day of your surgery. If you have more than one insurance carrier, we will also need accurate secondary billing information.

Please be aware of any admission policies your insurance plan may have. You or your physicians may have to adhere to certain requirements in order to ensure maximum reimbursement. Failure to obtain pre-authorization, physician referral, or a second opinion may greatly reduce or eliminate your benefits.

Be prepared to bring any co-pay or co-insurance amounts on the day of your surgery. Patients who do not have insurance coverage may also be required to pay a portion of their charges in advance. Also, please make sure you bring a photo ID. We will need to see this as part of your insurance validation.

Special Financial Arrangements

We realize that at times you may require special financial arrangements. In these instances, please call our office prior to your surgery in order to discuss alternative methods of payment. Surgery Center of the Pacific accepts cash, cashier's checks, credit cards, and personal checks with a valid I.D. We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard with credit card approval on the date of payment.
